"Essiac" Herbal Tea, made famous by Rene Caisse and made to the original 4-herb formula.
The original formula is believed to have come from the native Canadian Ojibway Indians. Rene Caisse learned of the natural herbal formula directly from these indigenous people. As a caring and compassionate nurse she desired her legacy to reflect her life's endeavour to make this herbal tea available to any who might need it, and the recipe she used can be found in an affidavit by Mary McPherson, the only other person Rene authorised to make the tea.
The four main herbs that make up the tea are Burdock Root, Slippery Elm, Sheep Sorrel* and Rhubarb Root.
Our “Essiac” Herbal Tea has been made precisely to Rene Caisse’s original remedy, as featured in the written affidavit detailing the recipe*. Further information can be found at www.healthfreedom.info
Instructions for preparation (an instruction leaflet is included with your order):
The contents of the tub is suitable to make one portion of tea which will end up as approx. 1 litre of full strength decoction (which you then dilute further to drink).
All ingredients are already in the correct proportions. Due to the mixture of Powders and Bark, this pack is not suitable to make partial portions.
Boil 1.9 litres of filtered water in a pan (not aluminium, preferably earthenware or heat-proof glass).
Add the entire contents of the tub to the boiling water. Stir in with a wooden utensil and cover. Boil fast for ten minutes.
Remove from heat and stir, scraping herbs from side of pan back into the liquid.
Cover and let stand for 6 hours.
Stir well, replace lid, and leave for a minimum of 6 hours.
Stir, cover, and bring to the boil. Remove from heat and stand for 5 minutes before straining.
Funnel liquid into brown sterile glass bottles with screw tops and seal immediately. Once cool keep refrigerated. This amount will fill approx. 2 x 500ml amber bottles. The amount may vary slightly depending how much water was lost in boiling.
Directions for use:
Heat 4 tablespoons (57ml) of filtered water to boiling.
Add 4 tablespoons of the decoction.
Sip slowly on an empty stomach - no food for 2 hours before dose and 1 hour afterwards.
*Sheep Sorrel - Powdered rumex acetosella as detailed in the affidavit is close to impossible to source in the UK. We have used whole plant Rumex Acetosa which is the closest relative to rumex acetosella and has similar properties. Our herbal mix has been positively energy-tested with kinesiology for reassurance.
GNM note:
The properties of the herbs used in Essiac are beneficial during the Healing phase and do not interfere with the Biological program.
