Turmeric is increasingly gaining popularity. This is due to the curcumin, the phytochemical in organic turmeric which has been scientifically proven in the fairly recent science of nutrigenomics to act upon our gene expression.
Turmeric used needs to be organic, as phytochemicals such as curcumin are produced by the plant when it is under stress or attack. They are basically the plant's own defense system, which is why they are found in much less concentrations in non-organic plants as these are not stressed due to the use of pesticides and herbicides to help them along.
Most organic turmeric on the market has around 2% curcumin, ours is specially selected organically sourced turmeric with at least 6% curcumin! So you can be reassured that you are getting the most out of your turmeric cooking and juicing!
